New Training Initiatives
A range of apprenticeship programmes has been developed to meet the needs of both apprentices and employers in the roofing sector.
New training initiatives are now available for you to gain recognised qualifications leading to National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) recognition.
These programmes are comprised of training modules that can be delivered through a flexible timetable of short duration off-the-job training sessions as well as on-the-job mentored training.
The content within the modules will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge required to work towards achieving the NVQ Level 2 qualification over a period not exceeding 2 years.
Off-the-job training is provided by industry-recognised experts, delivered at the LSA’s purpose built Training centre.
Access to the Specialist Apprenticeship Programme (SAP) is open to candidates of all ages. The (SAP) is closely monitored by the ConstructionSkills and those companies that are in Scope will be eligible to receive grants for apprenticeship registration, attendance and achievement.
Courses are also available for those wanting to work on heritage projects and listed buildings.
