This will provide the opportunity to develop confidence in the use of lead welding techniques required by the leadworker, to safely carry out simple non-positional and positional welding methods using oxy-acetylene welding equipment.
Aims of the course
On completion of the course delegates should know the health and safety procedures for working with lead sheet and safe use and set up of oxy-acetylene welding gases, and be able to form simple leadwork details and joints by the use of welding techniques.
Who should attend?
While there are no special entry requirements this course would be useful for roofing and building contractors who want to become more skilled in the prefabrication and installation of typical lead flashing details.
